A familiar refrain: Wait 'til next year

Mark your calendars. This is not the end, just the beginning.

One year from now, on the third Sunday of 2007, we will be celebrating victory, not defeat. So keep your chins up, practice, and if things go well, with few injuries, we can all participate in the 102nd Norge Ski Jump.

Some pictures from yesterday ...

There were characters ...

a large crowd ...

Jager girls ...

athletes in training ...

the main event ...

and a place to stay warm ...

Want to participate? Or come out to Fox River Grove to check out practice? Check out the website.

damn, that looks like a lot of fun, we'll be there next year for sure. Now, what exactly was going on in that pic of the athletes in training?

Such questions! And I thought pictures were worth a thousand words each.
What's going on in that one pic? We're trying to stay warm and, at the same time, preventing pain in case we fall during a jump.
Why was I there? Um, to say "hi" to your folks, of course. Actually, in my 2006 quest for adventure, I'm testing out shots of honey Jager, where ever they might be.
