Coming soon to downtown Chicago

"He is 'excited' about the opportunity to refill space on the store's backside on Wabash Avenue." Carson Pirie Scott's State Street store is closing, but it's not that all bad. Just what will the backside space be filled with? Here are some ideas under consideration:

Parking structure: Suburbanites gotta park somewhere

All-American food court: Suburbanites need their vittles

CVS/pharmacy: Suburbanites need their Plan B

Smoking lounge: Suburbanites gotta have a fag

Permanent home of the Windy City Rollers:
Bringin' 'em back to the city

I love all the hyped-up local news coverage of the "outrage" of the closings of these iconic stores (to include Marshall Fields).

If all the people who said they shop at these stores actually shopped at these stores they'd be the most profitable enterprises in the city.

Shitheads.

I vote we fill it with trash and light a match - make it a gigantic burn barrel for the city's homeless. Winter's coming!

Oh come on, the homeless aren't allowed anywhere near Michigan Avenue or State Street.
