In the news this week: Things you'd never expect to see

Hey, it's like a poll, but you have to vote by commenting!

Which of the following events would seem most unlikely to you a week ago?

1. A commercial airliner parking in the middle of Central Avenue. This would be the feel-good story of the week if no one had died. Just imagine being in a plane that goes through a wall. A total thrill ride.

2. Chicago passing a "comprehensive" smoking ban with a loophole. And you were wondering why they're giving bars three years to comply.

3. A Chicago Public School student portrayed in a positive light on CNN. These kids can breakdance to Hamlet!

4. The government considering legislation against protesters at funerals of dead soldiers. Yes, there are scum, and then there are religious fanatics.

5. Blogging becoming a criminal activity. A warning to anyone who would dare call Hillary the B-word.

6. Mayor Daley admitting he's "depressed" and saying his job is "difficult." Meow-meow-meow.

7. The Associated Press releasing its own version of The Red Eye, you know, a paper "for the kids." The kids are the future of the world, but they find news about politics so boring. Might as well dumb it down and make it fun. Hey, wait, that's what I am trying to do! (Not sure if this one happened this week, but I just noticed it.)

Senn high doing something good, hell no. I thought it was just a breeding ground for road side bombing targets (ie the military takeover of teh school) and for kids to get arrested for spitting on teh sidewalk.

I just checked out Mark Linday's site. It's hilarious. I remember that guy in high school. Huge stoner and funny as hell. Tell him I said hi.

Man... You would think at your high school they would have taught you to spell "the." Senn is a good place and it would surprise you how much potential it has.
